Overview

This 2 day trip to Ninh Binh from Hanoi will cover the most highlights of Ninh Binh: visit to Hoa Lu – the ancient Royal Capital of Vietnam and Trang An scenic landscape with Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves; Hang Mua (Mua Cave) to have spectacular views over Tam Coc and Ninh Binh’s stunning countryside and relax on boat trip on Van Long Nature Reserve of wetlands.

Day 1: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Hoa Lu – Trang An complex (L, D)

Morning depart from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, located in the marshy Red River delta, featuring a network of waterways coupled with spectacular limestone formations rising up from rice paddy fields. Spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century.

Transfer to your hotel for checking in, take rest and have lunch at restaurant with local specialties.

Afternoon, continue to visit Trang An Scenic Landscape complex nearby which recently recognized as an UNESCO World natural heritage, get on a rowing boat (small sampan) traveling along the small river with scenic mountain and green fields landscape. Boat takes you to visit cave complex of Trang An: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, the scenery of mountain and rivers – Halong on land of Ninh Binh.

Have dinner at restaurant and overnight at hotel in NinhBinh.

Day 2: Cuc Phuong  – Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast, check out your hotel and traveling to Cuc phuong national park. Your visit begins at the Endangered Primate rescue Center. Have lunch.

After lunch, depart to the Park Centre, on the way visit the Cave of Early Man ( had over 7000 year), then you’ll start on a long trek through the forest to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the park. You’ll also make stops at Cho Chi, the oldest tree in the forest, a number of picturesque streams and waterfalls. 15h30: Car pick up and transfer back to Hanoi. Finish tour.
